Hatchling turtles are at an especially vulnerable time of their lives, so providing a proper food source is crucial to the success of hatchling turtles at this age. TropicZone Stage-1 Hatchling Diet provides an excellent 1/16 inch floating micro-pelleted formulation with a 44% protein level and a 15% fat. Very well suited for the quick growth and development of hatchling turtles at this stage. Also included are vitamins A, E, C, and vitamin B-12 to assist the growth process. A well balanced Calcium/phosphorus and Vitamin D supplement helps complete the pelleted section of the diet. In addition to this specially formulated micro-pellet, a portion of finely sized dried spinach is added to the TropicZone Hatchling Diet, as many hatchling turtles consume a substantial amount of vegetable matter at this stage of life. The spinach provides an excellent source of plant proteins, minerals, and calcium. The TropicZone Stage -1 Hatchling Diet is designed to support the Hatchling up intel it reaches a size of approximately 2 inches (SCL). It is suggested that Hatchling turtles be fed up to 3 times daily in small amounts that they can consume within 2-3 minutes.
